How We Started Workforce Assist
Company Start-Up
In 2014 I was at a primary school leaders day with my son at the Brisbane Convention Centre, my son was school Captain of Windsor School. The day was a motivational day where Para Olympians were talking about their struggles and triumphs. I received a phone call from the company lawyer where I was working saying the company was going into liquidation and no invoices would be paid, I was a contractor and had built up an ongoing revenue from introducing client’s. With most staff left in the lurch I was able to call Merran, the head of payroll and asked if I start a company would she help me run it, she said yes.
Company is growing
I started working from home in Brisbane and Merran from home office in Melbourne, with a few loyal clients and candidates. Fast forward 7 years and we now have 5 staff in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia and a team of Independent Recruiters who trust us with helping them manage their businesses in most states of Australia.
We developed our own software
We have also developed our own software to assist businesses manage their workforce and health and safety which has been 2 years in the making.
